Another busy day in paradise. The desk arrived about 6 PM, unbelievable!! Here it is, now our little office is almost complete:
Here are pictures of the beautiful Taz. Cheryl bets me a beer she'll be afraid of the pool. The question is, does love of water beat the fear? I'll take that bet.
After the desk arrived, we carried on with our plan to take Shadow down to the Malecon and catch the sunset. Not a lot of clouds tonight, so not very splendiferous, but the port is nice and quiet now, mostly just locals catching the sunset.
here's the fisherman statue, I love this guy.

I do love the pelicans:
Shadow loves this place too:
And there is grass!!! Yum, yummy grass...
Back home and my first serious attempt at Mexican-style cooking, Veracruz fish fillets with garlic, onions, tomatoes, jalapeƱos, olives, and pan-fried potatoes.
Put the lime in da coconut....
The finished product, pretty darn yummy!

Wow! The more pictures I see, the more I understand why you guys moved there. All that sand, sea, and fresh fish too! Taz is very beautiful.
How ya feelin' Mel? Are you resting? (silly question) Don't give the new desk too much of a workout right away. By the looks of how solid it is, it'll be for at least a hundred years.
Love ya.
Yeah,I'm not much of a rester. But it is feeling better, thanks. I'm still looking for Aleve. It is beautiful here, and we're starting to get used to the early rising. Now that Shadow's used to it, we'll be up at that time whether we like it or not!
Hey - your desk looks a lot like the one you left behind...I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine.
Oh man, that dinner looks good!
It's a great desk, very solid, with a big tendency to leave stain all over my clothes. We're using a towel for a while, hopefully all the stain will rub off on that. Luckily we should get our washer tomorrow!
