Beautiful Day

A lovely day here, humidity was down a little bit. The tide was all the way out this morning, and attention Nova Scotians, it didn't have that low tide smell!!

Coming back, we took a different route, and passed by an interesting intersection:

Ah yes, I will meet you at the corner of Melissa Cristina and Melissa Cristina.

We went out to Laguna Shores again to talk to Wayne, and to have Shadow meet Baron, Ron's lab. Sad story, Baron was hit by a truck three weeks ago and almost died, showed up at Ron's doorstep covered in blood, with massive head injuries and a broken leg. He's almost all better now. He's only 6 months old, and a vet from the US looked at his leg and recommended not getting surgery; said he would heal better without because he is young and strong. But it's a bit of a wait for a 6-month old lab who lives by the ocean. Other than that, he is 100%, with tons of energy.

Laguna Shores:

Shadow will stay with Ron and Baron when we go to Phoenix overnight next week. It's great to have a substitute for Uncle Leo and Mr and Mrs. Carse. Ron's a sweet guy, we really like him.

Came home and did some grocery shopping. This is what 50 bucks worth of groceries looks like:

As you can tell, we decided to try for the perfect margarita. This is our first try:

And I'm still typing!! It was OK, pretty close, but we will need to do a fair bit more experimenting...tomorrow. And we will still need to perfect the frozen variety after that!

Smell, what smell? Oh, you mean the one you get here in the summer when the tide goes out and you are not on a sandy beach, lol.

Looks like your margarita's have some icebergs floating in them, or were you trying to dilute the tequila?

Thanks for the golf poster, can't make that weekend, but I'm gonna try to find another one to fit into my busy schedule, lol.

Yup, that's the odor to which we refer. We have moss on the rocks but not much kelp or other seaweeds, maybe that makes the difference.

We were trying for the unblended melgaritas this time and ice doesn't last long here, but you're right we were in tequila dilution mode.

We just wanted to point out with that poster that there is some golf here and to give an idea of the prices. The courses are all built over the sand like Saudi Arabia. We don't play but I'm sure you could find a partner when you arrive.
