A fix for the photo junkies

Ok, we brought the camera along! Click on pictures to enlarge:

Here is our local Mercado- not the closest, but only six blocks away and great stuff.

We went out to the old port (Malecon)

Which Restaurant should we pick?

We went to Senor Shrimp, also known as the BooBar, and had a Baja Shrimp cocktail (yum!) and a margarita. The shrimp cocktail sort of looks like this:
Spicy cocktail juice, onions, tomatoes, avocado and fresh shrimp!

There's a lot of this going on down here:
After Carl took this, he called, "I'll send you a copy!" And as they drove off, she yelled back, "YAH! MySpace, baby!!!......"

Carl very much approves of this:

This flying skiff went by the window of the BooBar.

What IS a BooBar, you might well ask? Hopefully you can enlarge this enough to see:

This is an art display we went by- I quite like these enameled steel sculptures.

There are lots of brown pelicans down here, they're great fun to watch:

Back to household stuff- with the furniture and etcetera we bought for the condo, we got pots and pans. Turns out they're GREAT!! These are Kirkland non-stick cookware, and I love them. We also got a bunch of Kitchen aid utensils, and a ton of other stuff. Christmas in August.

Hi, Merry Christmas and thanks for the photos. Okay, the BooBar is definitely on the "To Do" list when we get there. Quiero un coctel de camarĂ³nes y una margarita, por favor. Or something like that.
Hey Carl, that's pretty cool that there's a bookstore opening eh? Although it's probably geared more towards Danielle Steele & Tim Robbins than to rare, 1st editions, but still it's a bookstore!
I hope you're having fun shopping for your new place and unpacking your new treasures.
Keep blogging.

Nice, I like margaritas, Tammy too if they are strawberry, lol.

The enameled steel pieces look really nice, not sure how they would fit into a 1870s era Acadian Nova Scotia home. Probably not, as my sense of taste is not always appreciated by my mate. You can tell when the nic nacs that I like tend to end up in closets after a bit.

Ha-ha! I love that, Dave. The same thing happened to all the albums I liked... hmmm. You guys will love it down here, I hope you make it next year. By then maybe we'll have a little skiff of our own, with Cap'n Carlo at the helm.
