Windy as hell!

It's been a while since I blogged, but we've been very busy. We started a new website, http://www.justbetterdeals.com, and we're working towards getting it some recognition in the cyber world.

We said goodbye to Christmas, I like the Christmas lights in juxtaposition with palm trees.:

I wanted to take a moment to thank Cheryl ad Dan for all the things they've given us over the last year- this doesn't include the groceries they brought down or the plain old friendship they've shown or taking care of Shadow or their other myriad generosities. Here are a few examples:

Microwave cart:

Lighting fixtures that match our house perfectly:

Clock radio for guest room:

Bunkbeds for guest room with bedding:

Gas BBQ

Toaster oven which yes, I have to clean:

I've gone native! Bean soup with chilies and pork:

Anaheim chiles with cheese and tortilla lunch

We came home one day and there was a police car out front with some people talking to the police. Seems a guy had spun his car around in our intersection and sent gravel flying, and had broken a number of windows including ours. Luckily we're insured.

Our beautiful bathtub didn't have running water when we arrived, a source of some concern for me!! Eduardo had been saying for a while that he would come over and fix it, he said everything was hooked up. Last week he and Oswaldo showed up, cut a hole in our back wall, and pulled out all the hoses.

This is the culprit. A little calcification.

Our friend Paul has been here for ten days, we've had a great time showing him around. Karen and Dave came down from Laughlin NV on Tuesday evening, and were planning on staying until Friday morning, but after a really great day yesterday they decided today was a good driving day. It's been raining and blowing a gale! The wind was so strong it blew over the circle K sign!

We're going out for dinner tonight to Ramon's and tomorrow we drive up to Phoenix, drop Paul off, drop Carl at his book sale, I go to see Eli at a multiplex, then I pick up Carl and we drive to Tucson, where we stay in a Motel 6.

Saturday morning we drop Carl off at another book sale, and I go to see the Tucson Museum of Art where they have an Ansel Adams exhibition. I pick him up about 2 and we drive back home. Busy!! See what I'm saying?

Ha ha. We offload stuff that we don't want on you (and was free to us anyway) and you make it sound like we're generous souls. You should consider a career in politics or spin-doctoring.

Wow! That was some storm eh? I've spent the day mopping up and washing floors, rugs and towels.

Shad is currently asleep at my feet. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Hola,

Winter here also, but the stuff falling from the sky is typically Canadian, white and pretty light-weight.

Darn cold though, -10 here this morning, blowing about 25/30 from the north, some of that white stuff is knee deep in the yard.
